We will use our super digital skills to design a robot and make that robot dance! Page 1: Add your name. Add a selfie & resize it to fit inside the picture frame. Use a pencil and paper to design and draw a robot. Take a photograph of your drawing. Let’s make our robot dance! This website animates your drawings. https://sketch.metademolab.com/canvas Save the video clip of your animated robot dance. Insert the video clip and position it. Page 2: Have you ever wondered how games and apps on your computer, console, tablet or phone work? You can use text, add sounds, and draw using the pen tools to explain your thinking. Page 3: Almost anything computers are capable of is done by computer programs. The most basic programs use simple commands/code in a step-by-step order. They’re called sequences. Can you order this sequence of commands so it makes sense? Page 4: Can you explain the meaning of the word code? Share your work.
Objectives: To photograph, upload and animate a drawing. To improve the quality and presentation of their work by using text editing and formatting techniques. Understand that games, apps and software are created by writing programs and that coding is the act of writing those instructions to create programs. https://sketch.metademolab.com/canvas __________________________________________ Code = Instructions or commands that computers can understand! Program = A program or software program is a set of instructions that directs a computer's hardware to perform a task. It’s code that makes your technology work. When someone makes an app or game, they can’t use any of the languages people commonly use to speak to each other. For instance, you can’t just shout at a computer and expect it to do want you to want. Instead, you have to use a particular language called a programming language (code). There are 100s of these! So code can be thought of as instructions in a language that computers understand, and coding is the act of writing those instructions to create programs.
