Today you will go on a field trip to visit Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska. The story of the Kenai Fjords is not just one of geology and landforms, but also a rich history of the native population in the area. Archeological evidence indicates the region has been home to Alaska Natives for thousands of years. This park was established in 1980 by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act.
