Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This is a great activity to do with students for the new year. We successfully did this activity with 3rd graders. - Share the book, The Word Collector by Peter Reynolds (you can find the book on YouTube as well). - Have a discussion with students about choosing one word to help guide/motivate/inspire them through the year. - Brainstorm a list of words with students. - Have students take a moment to reflect and choose a word before starting this activity * Students can also complete this activity with PicCollageEDU and use the web search tool for their image and then share the saved image to Seesaw. *When we were done, we uploaded all of the images to the Clips app to create a movie which was also shared on Seesaw.
