Student Instructions
Shine a light through a variety of objects. Decide if your objects are opaque, translucent or transparent. Do any of the objects reflect light or bend the light in some way?
Take pictures of the objects you test. Add your photos using the 
tool.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
For this activity, students will need flashlights and a variety of materials to test, including mirrors, foil, paper, cardboard, etc. It may be most beneficial to have students work in partners or groups of three; allowing them to assist each other with testing the objects while taking photos of their findings. Note: Students will have to use the device camera to take photos first (rather than taking photos directly in Seesaw). Then, they can add photos from the camera roll after the experiment is finished. This connects to the following MN state standard: 3.2.3.1.3 Describe how light travels in a straight line until it is absorbed, redirected, reflected or allowed to pass through an object. For example: Use a flashlight, mirrors and water to demonstrate reflection and bending of light.
