There are many ways to be kind to people - you can say something to make someone smile or help them solve a problem. There are no limits to the way we can be kind to each other. Let’s see how kindness helps us feel more connected to one another and changes our mood. 1. ▶️ Click play on the Mind Yeti audio session. Follow along with the guided instructions. 2. 💭 Think: How did you feel about yourself for talking to the new kid? How did your body feel? How did your mood change? What are some other ways you have been kind to others and how did it make you feel? 3. 📓📝 Using a journal or piece of paper, write down the story of a time you were kind to someone. What happened? How did you show kindness? How did the person feel after you helped them? How could you tell? How did you feel? 4. add Click Add Response. 5. photo Click the photo tool to take a photo of your writing. 6. mic Click the mic to read your story aloud and share any other details about the story. How could this story help you to find calm and peace when you feel the Hubbub rising around you? 7. check Click the green check to add to your journal. 👍🏾 If you start to feel the Hubbub this week, think back to this story and how showing kindness made you feel. See how the story changes your mood and helps calm the Hubbub. Family Why: Mindfulness helps children manage stress and work through it more quickly. Mindfulness practice—even a few minutes a day has health benefits. Research suggests that mindfulness can increase one’s ability to focus, calm down and connect positively with others.
