The first contact of the students with the topic of clothing will be through realia. The teacher will bring different kinds of old clothes and put them on, or if any student volunteers s/he can wear them. The rest of the class will shout out the names of the clothes they are wearing, and the teacher will write them down on the board. They can also try to use sticky notes, but they might not stick well on fabric. After writing the names of clothes on papers or sticky notes, the students will have to find the right spot for each of them in a Venn diagram. They will have to categorize the clothes as Winter or Summer clothes. The words pronunciation is to be looked at as well.
