Teachers, save “Spelling Bee” to assign it to your class.

A spelling bee is a competition where you are challenged to spell words correctly, aloud. Attached is a list of Year 6 level spelling bee words. You need to: 1. Choose 10 words from the spelling bee list. 2. Write each word in a different way. 3. Take a photo of each word using your iPad. 4. Click then to post your 10 spelling word photos. 5. Ask a parent to test you on your 10 words. They say the word to you, and you have to spell it aloud! Examples of creative ways to write each word: write it on a whiteboard, write with a crayon, use bubble writing, make the word out of pipe cleaners, trace the word in sand.. I'm including some photo examples I've done for you! BEWARE: IF YOU SPELL THE WORD INCORRECTLY, IT WILL NOT BE COUNTED! Learning intention: to carefully study the spelling of ten tricky words.
