Pages 1 to 9: 1st time reading: Read the Pictures - THINK - what do the pictures tell me? 2nd time reading: Decode the words (if you get stuck - sound out the beginning sound and work through the whole word segment and blending) 3rd time reading: Now that you know the words, practice reading for meaning and fluency. Ask: Who is the main character, what happened at the beginning, the middle, the end? 4th time reading: Use the mic and record yourself reading the story and the page that has My Word List. If you get tired or run out of time tap on draft you can come back later and tap EDIT and this will open again. When you are ready read pages 10-16 (repeats steps 1-4).
