The goats had trouble crossing the bridge safely.
,
Make a simple plan for how you will make your bridge. (Slide 1)
Using blocks, cups, paper, boxes, sticks or anything else we have in class (or you have at home), build a new bridge to help the goats.
Test your bridge. Will it hold a small toy animal? What about a medium or large one?
,
When you are finished with your bridge take a picture and post it in your journal. (Slide 2)
Tell what you did to make your bridge. Was your bridge strong enough to hold the goats?
Use the
to make a self-reflection on how well you understand explaining your process for making a bridge.

Guideline-VI.A.1 Observes, investigates, describes, and discusses properties and characteristics of common objects. II.B.3 Provides appropriate information for various situations. I got the idea for making the goat's own bridge from Mary Klempke's Animal Bridge activity. I used Miss Jackman's reflection page from Maths- Classifying Objects to help make a self-reflection page for this activity.
