Student Instructions
We will begin this project drawing outdoors. When you sketch with pencil or pen, always try to draw your general shapes first and then details. Look carefully at your subject and don't assume you know what it looks like. Try to incorporate shading as well. Use hatching and cross hatching to convey tone. After drawing outdoors, we will experiment with finding texture outside as well through crayon rubbings. Using sketch paper, you will find things that have texture and pick up the texture with your crayons. Vary the colors you use. Then, you will return to the classroom to collage all of you rubbings and sketches into an interesting composition. Take a of it and post it to Seesaw along with a short one sentence description of what you explored.
