Pick a word problem to model. Watch the example as many times as you need to.
1) Tap the 
and take a 
of your rods and word problem strip.
2) Tap the 
tool and type or draw the rods values and the solution.
3) Tap 
and read the problem and explain your solution.
4) Tap the 
and be sure to turn it in to your journal.
If you have time, add a 
to your journal creating your own word problem and showing the solution with rods or a tape diagram.
