Student Instructions

Hi everyone! 👋 Here’s a revision activity to help you prepare for Term 3. It’s based on what we’ve covered in your textbook and workbook, and it’s a great way to get your brain thinking! 🧠 You’ll be using your High Performance Learning (HPL) skills: Linking – connecting ideas from different topics. Agile – approach problems flexibly and creatively. ✅ What to Do: Review your textbook and workbook. Complete the Seesaw practice questions. After each question, write a short HPL affirmation to reflect on your thinking. For example: “I made a connection – that’s Linking!” “I changed my approach – that’s being Agile!” “I didn’t give up – I’m a high performer!” ⚠️ Reminder: This is just for practice — do not rely on this alone. Use it to guide your revision, but keep reviewing all your notes, classwork, and teacher feedback too. Let’s build strong habits and prepare like high performers! 💪📖

👩‍🏫 Teacher’s Notes – Term 3 Revision (HPL Focus) Purpose: This activity is designed as a light-touch, student-led revision task to help learners engage with key concepts from Term 3 using their textbooks and workbooks, while embedding HPL (High Performance Learning) behaviours — specifically Linking and Agile thinking. ✅ Teacher Instructions: Before Assigning: Briefly revisit the HPL concepts of Linking (making connections) and Agile (flexible, adaptive thinking) with students. Remind them this is not a test, just an opportunity to practise and reflect. During the Task: Encourage students to work independently or in pairs. Ask them to write a brief HPL affirmation after each response (e.g., “I made a link to another topic — that’s Linking!”). After Submission: Provide light feedback focusing on effort, use of HPL skills, and quality of reflections. Celebrate examples of strong Linking/Agile thinking in future lessons. 🔁 Reminders for Students: This activity is for practice only. They should not rely solely on this for exam prep — it should complement deeper revision using their textbook, workbook, class notes, and feedback. The HPL affirmations help them become more aware of their thinking processes.
