30 Circles Activity

Grades: 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade
Subjects: STEAM, Art, Character Building

Student Instructions

In this activity, you will be given 10 minutes and you are to turn as many of the blank circles as possible into recognizable objects. It is up to you how you use the circles and what colors you choose for your drawings using the drawing pen tool. At the end of the 10 minutes, mic record yourself talking about how many circles you filled and why you chose the objects you did.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This is a great activity just to get students brains geared into the creative process. It can be themed if you wish to center around a certain curricular area if desired. An example should NOT be given to students - just the template. You do not want them to copy anything you might draw. The recording process at the end is optional. I would also encourage a lively discussion time with your students. Maybe compare and contrast on student drawings. Did anyone combine circles? Did multiple students draw the same thing?
