Student Instructions
This week we are focusing on noticing and collecting interesting words in our independent reading. The words don't have to be big, or new, or complicated.... just 'interesting'! 1. Click to find your record sheet. Read the instructions on the first page carefully. 2. You can use any of these Seesaw tools: pen, text boxes or recording your voice to 'collect' your words from your book. 3. Save as a draft and add to your word collection each time you read. 4. At the end of the week, choose your ❤️favourite word of the week and complete the final page. 5. Click when you are finished. Remember, you should read for at least 20 minutes each day to help grow your reading skills!
In the template, duplicate the pages to give more space for student entries over the week. Template pages can also be printed for in-person use in class, or printed and enlarged for collecting words from a class read-aloud text.
