Hi Parents, "William's Winter Nap" by Linda Ashman is a book about a tired boy whose sleep keeps getting interrupted by animals who are looking for a warm place to hibernate for the winter. The story never names the first small animals (chipmunk, porcupine, groundhog, and raccoon), who all snuggle in with William, so you may have to help your child with the vocabulary. Then comes a surprise animal who might not fit! Use the link to connect to a read aloud of the story. This video shows all of the text, so you can turn off the volume and read it yourself if you prefer. After the story, come back to Seesaw and open the game to help all of the animal friends get ready to hibernate. Use the tool to add each animal to the bed. You can use the to record your child telling the story. Press the button when you are finished.
