Before you begin, gather 12 square unit pieces. They can be plastic tiles, Legos, blocks, or graph paper tiles, as long as they are square units. For each page, you will use your square pieces to create 2 different polygons that have the same area. Your polygons must be shaped differently, and they must have the same area. Use the tool to take a picture of each of the polygons you created. There are 3 pages in this activity.
