This activity is a wonderful way to celebrate World Kindness Day on November 13th and to inspire students to contribute to a kinder world. Overall, this activity promotes student character building, community building, and empathy. You can adapt the walking portion to suit your school's environment, whether it's around the playground, in the neighborhood, or even inside the classroom! **Note:** Page 3 is optional. If you decide not to include the walking element to demonstrate your pledge, simply remove instruction step three and the corresponding page before assigning the activity to students. Have students share their pledges to be kind. This can be done as a large group activity, where everyone's pledges are displayed, or students can stand up and share their pledges individually. As a follow-up, please encourage students to practice their kindness pledges over the next week and reflect on how they feel after exhibiting kindness toward others.
