Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
This activity asks students to practice basic photography skills, simple photo edits (crop, filter, sticker, label), and to reflect on their choices. Prep: ensure each student has a device that can take photos and access Seesaw. Allow time outside and a quiet place for uploads. Provide a short demo showing how to crop, add a filter, and use the markup tools before students begin. When grading open responses, look for clear connection between the photo and the explanation. A high-quality answer names the photo (e.g., "leaf close-up"), names at least one effect used (e.g., "I used a warm filter"), and explains why that effect was chosen (e.g., "to make the colors pop"). For voice or video responses, expect 1–2 sentences explaining the choice. For drawings or text responses, expect a short caption plus a 1-2 sentence reason.
