Student Instructions
Today you will practice settling the Hubbub around you by paying attention to your breath. Make sure you are in a space where you can get comfortable and be ready to find your Yeti Body to get started. 1. ▶️ Click play on the Mind Yeti audio session. Follow along with the guided instructions. 2. 💭 Think: How was that activity for you? What does it feel like to focus on your breath? Did you notice any Hubbubbles appear? 3. Click Add Response. 4. Click the video to record yourself talking about your experience. How does it feel to sit and focus on your breath? Did you have some Hubbubbles come up as you sat there? What were they? How did you help them calm back down? 5. Click the green check to add to your journal. 👍🏾 Today, whenever you feel the Hubbub bubbling up, try to slow down and pay attention to your breath and notice how your body feels as you do. Family Why: Mindfulness helps children manage stress and work through it more quickly. Mindfulness practice—even a few minutes a day has health benefits. Research suggests that mindfulness can increase one’s ability to focus, calm down and connect positively with others.
