Overview: Assign this activity as a follow-up to Seesaw's We Love to Read Challenge virtual author event with author Sue Fliess. Ms. Fliess read her book, 'Mary Had A Little Lab' and students learned about a young inventor who wants a pet, but can't buy one. She creates a new invention where she can makes her own pet sheep! In this activity, students will become young inventors and create their own invention to help Mary. They will draw a picture of their invention and explain their invention. How to Use This Activity: Differentiate by having students draw a picture of their invention on paper, and then use the photo tool in Seesaw to capture their drawing. Materials: None *Paper, markers, crayons if students are drawing themselves off Seesaw. Standards: ISTE 1.6 Activity created by author Sue Fliess.
