Student Instructions

1. See how many shapes and colors you can name. 2. Use the mic to record your work. 3. Use the eraser to un-hide the vehicles/transportation. 4. Tell what each one is as you find it. 5. Click on the green check to save your work to your journal. Simplify: * Skip naming the shapes and colors. * You name the vehicle and have your child repeat the name. * If your child is non-verbal, you say the names so they hear them. Extend: * Have your child tell who uses the vehicles as they name them. * Have your child identify more details about the vehicles. (Is that a motor boat or a sailboat, etc.) * Have your child count the number of vehicles that move in the sky, on the ground and in the water. Learning Potential (Utah Core Standards) ELA 3 yr.1.2: Begin to understand and use nouns, verbs, prepositions, and pronouns. ELA 4 yr.1.5: Use and talk about new vocabulary through projects and guided conversation. ELA 4 yr.1.6: Discuss how objects can be sorted into categories. FA 4 yr.4.2: Recognize and name colors. Math 4 yr.3.3: Classify/sort objects into given categories (air transportation, land transportation, water transportation.) Math 3 yr.4.1: Match, point to, and begin to identify basic shapes by name.
