Learning to focus your attention on one thing can strengthen your mind and help you settle the Hubbub. Today, you will strengthen your ability to focus by paying close attention and listening fully to one sound. Let’s listen now! 1. ▶️ Click play on the Mind Yeti audio session. Follow along with the guided instructions. 2. 💭 Think: What was it like to listen to the one sound? Were you able to focus on the sound until the very end? How did you improve with each attempt? 3. Click Add Response. 4. Click the video tool to record yourself talking about your experience. What did you think about this activity? What was easy about it? What was hard about it? How did you feel once you had fully listened to the sound? 5. Click the green check to add to your journal. 👍🏼 If you start to feel the Hubbub rising around you, try to take deep breaths this week and listen in to one sound to try to focus your mind. 😌 You can do it! Family Why: Mindfulness helps children manage stress and work through it more quickly. Mindfulness practice—even a few minutes a day has health benefits. Research suggests that mindfulness can increase one’s ability to focus, calm down and connect positively with others.
