In the United States we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 every year. Today you are going to learn about this holiday. Then, you are going to research about a Spanish speaking country of your choice to learn some interesting facts about it. 1. Click the link on the video to the left to learn about Hispanic Heritage Month. When you finish watching the video, click . 2. On slide 1, you are going to show what you learned by answering TRUE or FALSE to two statements. 3. On slide 2, answer YES or NO to the two statements as they apply to you. 4. Take a look at the map on slide 3 to see the 21 countries in the world that have Spanish as their official language. Choose one of the countries that you would like to learn about and type its name on the provided line. 5. On slide 4, you will find links to two databases and a website that you could use to research about your country. 6. Complete slide 5 with facts from your research. Make sure that you type your interesting fact using your own words; not copying from the website word by word. 7. Use the Snipping Tool to get the flag of your country and another picture of your choice to add visuals to your slide. Use Ctrl+V to paste your pictures. Add a caption to your picture explaining what it is. 9. Add a background color and other components to your slide to make it interesting. 10. On slide 6, give credit to the sources you used for your research. Use the citations on the databases and the link to the website. Use Ctrl+C to copy the information and Ctrl+V to paste it, when needed. 11. Use the self-direction rubric on slides 7-10 to reflect on your progress every day you work on this activity. 12. When finished, click to submit your work 🤩.
