Student Instructions

This activity is all about equality, and whether math expressions are equal. We will be using the equal (=)and not equal signs. .1. Tap add and go to the example template. Now listen 👂🏽 to the example video 2. Go to the student slides now. Count the number of green plants🌲 and the number of flowering plants 🌻in each set.( eg: 6+ 2). Write✍🏽that expression on the blank lines under that group of plants. 4. Now do the same for the 2nd set of plants. 5. Decide whether the amounts of plants are equal, and, depending on your decision, draw either the = or not=sign in the circle provided.. 6. Click the green to submit.

This activity will provide practice for students to count objects in sets and make a math expression. Then they will compare two math expressions and represent the relationship as either equal or not equal. Math Va SOl. 1.15
