Student Instructions
We are learning to follow and create simple sequences of steps (algorithms) using directional language. π Tap the arrows to build your algorithm! π Follow the steps with your Beebot. βοΈ Optional: Write down your full algorithm and try it again!

Activity Description: This activity supports students in developing directional language (forward, backward, left, right) and early algorithmic thinking by creating and following simple sequences of steps. Itβs designed for Prep and Year 1 students. How to Use This Activity: Option 1 β Teacher-led: * Display the activity on the board using 'Present to Class'. * Tap on the Flexcard and get students to program their Beebot as each direction comes up. The algorithm will continue until the GO card appears. Option 2 β Student-led (using iPads or computers): * Students open the activity individually. * They tap on the Flexcards to build their own algorithm. * They test their algorithm using a Beebot. Optional: Students can write their algorithm on paper or record it using Seesaw tools. Extension idea: -- Have students draw or write their algorithm before testing it with their Beebot. -- Students could take a photo or video of their Beebot following their programmed sequence and add it to Seesaw.
