Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
We have a weekly Discovery Table in our classroom. I bring in items from nature that go with the seasons. There are usually like 5 items to select from and the items stay for 2 weeks. Students are also welcome to bring in items. This activity helps children discover the wonder and awe of the world they live in. If you would like to learn more about the Discovery Center, read the book A Place to Wonder by Georgia Heard and Jennifer McDonough.
