Student Instructions

Reading takes us everywhere, so let's spend time each day in a book! 1. 📕 Choose a book or article you are excited to read about. 🛋 Choose a comfy place to read. 2. ⏲ Unlike a typical school day, you have lots of time to read independently. Challenge yourself to build your reading stamina. Set a timer if that helps but I hope you get so lost in reading that you don't worry about a time limit. 3. 📖 Read your book. While reading stop occasionally to reflect. What do you think will happen next? What clues is the author giving? Have you noticed a character growing or changing? 4. add Tap the add button. 5. Tap the frame-student-choice Student Choice Frame button to share what you are reading and any thoughts about the book so far. 6. Use the mic to read your notes. 7. check Tap the check to save. Challenge: Spend as much time reading as you can. Stretch yourself to try new types of books or reading materials. Family Why: Reading each day is essential to becoming fluent, grade level readers. With more independence, children can guide their own learning and become confident in their abilities.
