Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This is an adapted version of Assessment 1 from the 2nd Grade Gameplan curriculum book. With class facing away from instruments, teacher plays short improvisation on a pitched percussion instrument. Students circle the appropriate response. Create an answer key in the event that examples change from class to class. If possible, use instruments in the same octave (SX/AG/SM) not to confuse range with timbre.
