LI: We are learning to identify open and closed syllables in words. SC: I can chop words into syllables. I can identify if a word is an open or closed syllable. I know the difference between a vowel and a consonant. Learning Essence Focus: Self-manager 1. Tap link to watch the 'Syllables' video video. 2. Click add to begin the activity. 3. On page :pages 1, select the play button to listen voice. 4. On page 2, use the move tool and decide whether the word is an open or closed syllable. 5. On page 3, use the label tool to type 2 closed syllable words you can think of. 6. On page 4, use the label tool to type 2 open syllable words you can think of. 7. On page 5, use the mic to explain your understanding of what an open and closed syllable means to you. 8. Select check when you are finished seesaw.
