Leraning Intention: Write a short biography. So you aren't famous yet (...maybe you're secretly famous...?!) but many people who have lived unusual or interesting lives will write about their experiences in a biographical format. This is called an autobiography. "But you wrote the title and Learning Intention WRONG!" Ok, yes - it isn't just a catchy title - I know that a biography written by the person themselves is called an 'autobiography'... There is a good reason I called it a biography. I want you to write about your life as if you were someone else recording it! This means you'll use the 3rd person (he/she/they). 1) Use a spare bit of paper to brainstorm about yourself. Topics to consider: - birth and early years - recent life - notable events - interesting facts or anecdotes - photograph - achievements / disappointments - aims and hopes 2) Now it's time to write your biography! Look at the checklist to remind yourself what features you might need. You can look at / use the support template on Page 3 if you need some help getting started. 3) Check your work against the checklist and look carefully for spelling, punctuation and grammar. 4) Hit to submit. 5) Why not tag some classmates so they can peer-assess your work?
