Overview: Assign this activity as a follow-up to Seesaw's Read Across America Day virtual author event with author Megan Litwin. Mrs. Litwin read her book, 'Dirt and Bugsy Bug Catchers' and students learned about having great imaginations. In this activity, students will use their own imaginations to create a bug! This bug shouldn't be a traditional bug, have them get creative! How to Use This Activity: There are two options within this activity, one hands on (build a bug with materials around the classroom) and one digital (use the shapes in Seesaw to build a bug). Teachers can give students choice in how they build their bug or 'Copy and Edit' this activity to choose for students and delete one of the pages. Materials: Classroom materials if students are building a bug off of Seesaw. Standards: ISTE 1.6 Activity created by author Megan Litwin.
