When you are doing Mind Yeti, you are practicing mindfulness. Watch the video to learn more about this practice! 1. ▶️ Click play on the Mind Yeti video. 2. Click Add Response. 3. 🤔 Think: How can mindfulness help you at school? What about at home? How would you like to use mindfulness in your life? 4. Click the notepad and write a few sentences about how you hope mindfulness can help you at school and at home. What do you hope will happen more as you practice mindfulness? 5. Click the mic to tell more about your thoughts or read your writing aloud. 6. Click the green check to add to your journal. Family Why: Mindfulness helps children manage stress and work through it more quickly. Mindfulness practice—even a few minutes a day has health benefits. Research suggests that mindfulness can increase one’s ability to focus, calm down and connect positively with others.
This activity introduces students to mindfulness. Students learn that mindfulness is paying attention to things as they are right now with kindness and curiosity. Practicing mindfulness helps students calm down, stay focused, and connect with others. You can modify this activity based on your student's age and skill.
