Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
As a class, do the following activity together: Materials: Double pan balance scale 2 plastic cups Water Cooking Oil Ask students if all liquids weigh the same. Then measure out 60 milliliters of water and 60 milliliters of oil. Pour the liquids into 2 separate plastic cups. Then place a cup of liquid in each pan of the balance. Then compare the results to determine which is the heavier liquid.
