Student Instructions
1. Move around the classroom to find your own 'abstract' to photograph. Think about patterns, shapes, zoom and color. 2. Use the photo tool to take a photo of your abstract. 3. Use Snapseed app filters and drawing tools to enhance the image. 4. Is abstract art even art? Record your voice or write a caption to share why you think abstract art is or isn't interesting and valuable. Tips: Simplicity: Distracting and useless elements that don’t trigger emotions and may confuse viewers should be eliminated. Composition: A clear structural design; order, placement, and balance between shapes, patterns, textures, and even colors. Angle of View: Looking for the best vantage point that will complement your subject and keep distractions out of the frame. Lighting: Emphasize, dramatize, or give prominence to subject forms, details, or areas within an image. Harmony: Create visual balance and proportion Mystery: Including an element of mystery and intrigue.
